Sometimes cleaning and speeding the fan is not enough. I have an Compaq Evo N115 which had constant problems with overheating. I did the following:
1. take off heat spreader
2. remove thermal pad
3. grind the heat sink with fine sand paper to remove the tarnished surface
4. clean the tip of the processor and heat sink with acetone or isopropyl.
5. put a small drop of silver paste (eg. Arctic Silver 5) on the processor
6. Tighten the thermal pad on the processor. (Make it tight!)

After doing this: no more overheating issues. And it's not terribly difficult after all.

Nice guide. I've got the same Laptop Model as you lol. My laptop becomes extremely hot and sometimes burns me. Even the keyboard becomes hot enough for my fingers to tingle.
