Works on a Windows XP VM under Mac OS X Leopard. It's nice to have the same functionality present under Windows as I'm accustomed to with my Macs. Thanks for the tip!

In explorer just right click the drive you want and from the list click eject. No need for fancy software.

You don't need any software, just Windows. Press and hold the Windows key. While holding the Windows key press the E key and release both. After Windows Explorer opens quickly press and release each of the following keys in succession: C key, Application key, and J key. If you have a DVD drive then change the C key to a D key. Or if you have a disk in the drive change the C key to whatever the title of the disk is. Most keyboards have the Windows key and Application key but if yours does not then just open Windows Media Player, press and hold the Ctrl key then the E key.

Congratulation!(get 4 Start)
Similar this freeware, is NirCMD (nirsoft.net). it's freeware and you can using it from "Command Prompt", or create a batch file and use "pause" command between nircmd open and close commands.
but "Eject CD" is better (becuse i can using it from keyboard shortcuts!).
Useful tip and freeware, Thanx.
