By disabling visual effects, your machine gain dramatic improvement on performance. Here is how you do it in Windows Vista:
1. Right-click on My Computer (if you dont see it on your desktop, you can access it from Start->Computer)
2. Then choose Properties, and then click on Advanced system settings.
3. From Advanced, click on Settings.
4. Then check Adjust for best performance under Visual Effects.
5. Click Apply then OK.
That is it! Do you see how simple it is? You dont need to purchase the latest hardware to boost the performance on your computer!

Yes but it is butt ugly. What is the point of this. Why not just use NT4 or W3.11 or even DOS if you like using ugly computers. Disable some but not all of the features because that is what Vista is about.
I know this is for those Anorak sexless nerds that have no friends that say… “Eye candy is horrible we need usability instead”, what a bunch of you know what! We can have some eye candy and STILL use the computer properly. Get a life, get some friends you animalracks!!!

Oh right! This is why anyone who knows what they’re doing won’t touch this P.O.S. operating system. It is probably the most buggy, unreliable, piece of junk MS has ever released.
This makes Vista look like windows ’95.
