Not only are all the comments above me correct, but I just wanted to point out that this page is a waste of time and server space.

Interestingly, trying this on XP produces the described effect. It’s an interesting bug– 47 instances of Windows Explorer and no more will open. Neither will the Task Manager. Both mouse buttons are broken when trying to use the start menu or most of the rest of Explorer. Can’t right click on anything. It even went so far as to prevent Firefox from rendering correctly on the first try.

Simply enough fixed: alt-tab and close a couple Explorer windows. Close one or two and the task manager opens up, or you can just right-click and close the “My Computer” window group.

i held down the keys for about 50 seconds

opened a never ending windows control alt del
open task manager
took about 2 minutes
and then kill exploere restarted explor and

whola

i proved you wrong vista was back to its old self

in just 2 minutes with out a reboot
you vista haters are running out of things to say about vista

cuz microsoft is fixing all the flaws you pointout just making vista a little better at a time keep up the good work
vista ultimate sp1
2gb ram
on a computer made for xp vista upgrade

This doesnt work on Vista SP1
I performed the key press for about 1 min – once the system caught up (which did take a couple of mins)I was able to do a Ctrl – Alt – Del and close the explorer.exe process from task manager.

This is really a no-brainer.. You can do this with virtually all Operating Systems, all your doing is opening a massive ammount of instances for a program, that should crash anything.
