The Skype Developer Zone details how you can enable high-quality video calls with the latest version of Skype on your Mac or Windows PC.
The Mac method requires a very trivial tweak to Skype’s config.xml file and an iSight camera. The Windows tweak requires a similar edit along with a high resolution webcam and a couple of other tweaks. In the end you’ll have boosted your Skype video resolutions from a paltry 320×240 to a saucy 640×480.
