We have been receiving many mails from our readers these days with a problem that when ever they start up windows they see the error messages like as follows:
* Windows cannot find âC:\windows\svchost.exe.â
* Could not load or run âC:\windows\svchost.exe.â specified in the registry
* Windows cannot find âC:\Windows\System32\amvo.exeâ
* âWindows cannot find âcopy.exeâ
These type of messages appear at windows startup, when windows tries to load the virus files like amvo.exe, copy.exe etc. These error messages appear, because these files were removed by your anti-virus programs but still the registry entries for them exist.
Different types of viruses create some files which got executed at the windows startup so that they can come in action as windows load itself. In order to run the primary virus files required, they create run entries in windows registry. Read More»

It happens some time when you lost the password for a database microsoft access file.
As file is password protected so it will not open up without the correct password entered, in order to solve the problem you can simply use a free password revealing utility by nirsoft.net
Itâs called Access PassView, the only limitation with this program is that it works for every password-protected mdb file that created with Microsoft Access 95/97/2000/XP. Read More»

Microsoft decided to pull KB937287 from automatic updates that was supposed to prepare machines for the upcoming SP1 release after reports the patch was causing infinite reboots. According to Microsoft Help and Support, patch KB937287 was designed to âimprove reliability and performance when you install future individual update from Microsoft.â
Nick White on the Windows Vista Blog states that the problem affects âa small number of customers in unique circumstances.â The unique circumstances are still unknown. I have installed this patch on a handful of different manufacturers and models and have not yet had any issues. Read More»

You cannot imagine life without Firefox but over time, your favorite browser keeps getting slower and slower.
Not only is it slow, Firefox sometimes hangs for no reason, consumes a large amount of memory and CPU usage can climb to 90% or more when you have multiple tabs open simultaneously.
You have uninstalled most of the extensions and toolbars, deleted all the cookies and internet temporary files, cleared up the file download queue and disabled the background check for software updates but none of this has helped you speed-up Firefox. Read More»

While Windows Vista is indeed an evolution compared to its predecessor, Windows XP, there is a cocktail of minor glitches with the new operating system that have contributed actively to the product’s rough ride so far on the market. When, even before Vista hit the shelves at the end of January 2007, Jim Allchin, the former Co-President of the Platforms & Services Division described it as neither foolproof nor perfect, he was right on the money. With Vista, a range of issues also came to the table including hardware and software incompatibilities, reliability and stability problems and poor performance under specific scenarios.
And just such a scenario involves the integration of certain DVD-R/RW drives with the latest operating system from Microsoft. Read More»

In Windows Vista the networking components were designed to be much more intelligent and automatically adjust the network settings to optimize the connection speed. This is a great new feature. Your network components basically tweak themselves for optimal performance. In most situations, these components automatically adjust perfectly for best performance. However, with wireless WAN cards the detection of network conditions is flawed and can result in slower network performance.
To fix this problem, Microsoft has released a hotfix for users affected by this issue. If you have a Wireless WAN device, I suggest you give this hotfix a try. Read More»

The same way you take care of your car,with its oil changes,tweaks and tune up you should take care of your pc.Your computer (specially your Operating System) need alot of care,it is constantly working by modifying files,sometimes those modifications cause errors which then your pc logs and starts to slow down your computer, same has with the registry when it gets cluttered and alot of other sections.These are some good free utilities I have found, I think they do a pretty good job but to tell you the truth I dont use any, I always say you can find freeware thats equally good to paywares if not better,it doesnt look like the case with this.
If you have any extra cash,I really would suggest you buy TuneUp Utilities,I use it on a daily basis and might post a review on it soon.
This is our review for the top free system maintenance tools: Read More»

Stereo systems used to be collections of components that you maintained in the living room. Since the MP3 revolution, that’s no longer the case. Now it’s easier to collect all of your music in one placeââŹâyour PCââŹâand play it from there.
Of course, once you move away from CDs, you quickly run into a problem: How do you listen to music in different rooms?
With Microsoft’s new Windows Media Player 11 (WMP11) and its built-in Media Sharing feature, you can easily set up one computer as the server and have it stream music wirelessly to other devices around the house, such as a Microsoft Xbox 360 or a networked media hub. And starting with Windows Vista, you’ll also be able to stream music wirelessly between PCs from WMP11.
Unfortunately, WMP’s PC-to-PC streaming doesn’t work in Windows XP. For that scenario, here’s a solution that’s almost as easyââŹâsharing your music library across your home network, so that any machine can access it. It’s not technically beautiful, but it’s practical and glitch-free. Regardless of what devices you have on your network, here’s how to centralize your music system around WMP11.ââŹâJamie Lendino, editor of Ziff Davis Smart Device Central (www.smartdevicecentral.com) Read More»
