I tend be wary of programs that purport make computers go , fix and so on. The vast majority of them are worthless snake oil. I’m also a bit suspicious of – they’ve still got a for dodgy programs and scams and anything that comes from a company called Loonies is bound set the bells ringing so Actual Booster doesn’t get off a very promising .

Nevertheless, after giving it a fairly thorough road test I can tell you that Actual Booster really does liven things up a bit. It’s also free, and as far as I can see there’s no iffy content and it doesn’t try phone home. (more…)

Connectivity and Performance Problem in Mobile PC to Wireless Access Point

Method 1: Connect the a power source
When you plug the into a power source, Vista switches the wireless adapter power setting in the default power plan from the Medium Power Save setting the Maximum Performance setting. This turns off the 802.11 power save mode.

Method 2: Modify the default power saving power plan
