A. Start Menu Privacy
Every time you open up a document or launch a program Windows Vista keeps track of this information to build the list of application for recently run applications and recent documents list.
1. Right click on the taskbar and select Properties.
2. Click on the Start Menu tab.
3. Uncheck Store and display a list of recently opened files.
4. Uncheck Store and display a list of recently opened programs.
5. Hit OK and you are finished.

Jason Windows XP includes a feature that keeps track of all recent documents you have opened or used. The idea is that you can select Start/Recent Documents History and quickly reopen any document you have recently used. I use many documents each day and never
use the feature myself. In my opinion, I can keep up with what I want to use without Windows XP doing it for me.
