Standby For Vista Service Pack 1

vista sp1It looks like the beta version of Service Pack 1 for Vista will be released in the next few weeks to obliging volunteers and manufacturers. It’s not going to be on the same scale as the infamous Service Pack 2 for XP, which included some major security upgrades and replaced large chunks of the , but it is still fairly large, at a little over 45Mb, it covers quite a lot of ground and we are assured, will fix a few niggling problems.

Microsoft Launches Beta Vista Service Pack

Sources close to the Redmond company said that while users will have to wait until November for a full release of the Vista Service Pack 1, a beta version will be available shortly, possibly even this week. What will be included in Vista Service Pack 1 aside from the usual updates is not yet known, as declined to comment on it.
