Okay so, when formatting the PS3, it actually does erase all your data, learning from personal experience, it sucks.

Does format erases user profiles or it just creates a partition for Ubuntu to install? I don’t want to loose all downloads and save games while doing it.

Alright: I am scared of fouling up my PS3 … you assert that installing Ubuntu is safe … which is good news … so how do I roll back a horked install? (i.e. how do I restore my PS3’s native OS?)
